Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Isles (Spain) in the Mediterranean Sea, has become a popular destination for vacationers. The mild climate, the versatile attractions, the safe environment and the friendliness of the islanders draw millions of visitors every year. We found our place in a village on the eastern shore of Mallorca right below the 700 year old fortress of Capdepera. We have been coming here for decades to play golf, to go fishing or hiking and to enjoy the beaches. Often, we just stay at our own “fortress” enjoying the privacy of our oasis far from the tourist hot spots.
